Gender and politics in contemporary Turkey | International online workshop
The international workshop “Gender and Politics in Contemporary Turkey” features the most recent research in the domain of women’s political representation and the transformation of the gender regime in Turkey.
The workshop is spearheaded by Cetobac-EHESS, Yale and Charles University and takes place on Zoom, 16th and 17th May 2022.
It is organised by Lucie Drechselová (CETOBaC, EHESS), member of the Graduate school in Gender and sexuality studies (EUR GSST), and Nur Sinem Kourou (Fox International Fellow, Yale University). It is launched by the keynote speech delivered by Professor Yeşim Arat from Boğaziçi University.
Junior as well as established researchers will present their papers in three thematic panels (programme):
- Women & Representative Politics
- Gender Regime in Turkey
- Intersectionality and Social Movements in Turkey
